Alaric's experience of working at CLQ

We welcomed Alaric to Corbett Le Quesne for two weeks and he was a fantastic and helpful addition to the team. Thank you Alaric or all your hard work. This is what he wrote of his time with us: 

"Law has always been in the back of my mind as a potential career path that I’d like to work in. My time at Corbett Le Quesne has confirmed this thought.

At first I was nervous entering the workplace for the first time, but this nervousness soon melted away when I first met Barbara and Jess at my interview. Any scary thoughts I had about ‘work life’ soon disappeared as I got used to my routine at Corbett Le Quesne.

My first week was spent upstairs in the Family department. Everyone was very welcoming and I even got to attend a meeting at the family court with Jamie. Jess taught me everything to do with admin, and when teaching me, she explained how it fit in to the context of the work the lawyers were doing with the client. This was also true for Kate who let me see a meeting and afterwards told me why the meeting was held as well as what happened in the meeting so I wasn’t in the dark about what I just saw. I also had an amazing time being toured around the Magistrate’s Court and even seeing some trials as well as visiting the Royal Court with Juliette. A special thanks to Lizzie who used her magic abilities to make the scanner work for me."
