CLQ support Brightly's Family Fun Day Raffle

Brightly is holding a Family Fun Day at the Merton, Aquadome on Saturday 24^th June 2023 from 10.00am – 5.00pm.

For the bargain price of £24.00 per adult and £12.00 per child, families will have the use of the Aquadome for the whole day along with an amazing BBQ, bouncy castle, entertainers, Flowrider (extra charge) plus much more.

About Brightly

Brightly is a small, independent Jersey charity that awards grants to children and young people from new-born to 25 years who are being supported by the Children’s Service. Most of these children and young people will have a Social/Support Worker – some will be:-

• living in residential care, foster care, or with extended family
• have been in care (care experienced),
• acknowledged as being on the edge of care, being on the Child Protection Register, or being identified as a child in need

The objective of our charity is to provide them with some treasured memories that are not provided by the 'Corporate Parent' (The Government of Jersey). This may be something as simple as a toy or a new pair of trainers, nursery fees, driving lessons, and covering the cost of doctor or dentist bills. It could be providing a modest grant for furnishings for a care-experienced young person, who may face moving out of care alone without any family support. It might be something that enables a child to pursue a hobby like a camera or a bike.

All monies raised by Brightly either stay in Jersey for the benefit of Island residents or, in cases where local children and young people must be cared for off-island, may be made available to support them whilst away.
