Separating is never easy, no matter what ‘side’ you are on and no matter what your circumstances, but having the support of a legal team you trust will make a huge difference to your experience.

This is a very stressful time of year for many people with what the media have coined as Divorce Day (the first Monday of the year) and Blue Monday (the third Monday in January, which is branded as the most depressing day of the year). Knowing this, Corbett Le Quesne is launching a One Stop Shop to help anyone going through a separation.

As well as our free 30 minute information sessions we are adding a free service for our separating clients. We know how involved separations are; they may involve selling a property, moving house, closing bank accounts and even changing your children’s schools. Letting everyone know about these changes is important but it can be very stressful and time consuming. If you forget to change your address for your driving licence you can end up in court. We are offering to take this burden from our clients, new and old wherever possible. We can prepare the forms ready for signature and even post them for clients and this will not cost them anything extra.

We also have a close relationship with the creators of a co-parenting app called Our Family Wizard. Our Family Wizard provides a neutral way of communicating contact arrangements and the communications can be shared with lawyers and is monitored for unsuitable language. This can be the difference between court proceedings and an amicable relationship and it could save you thousands of pounds in legal bills if there are contact issues. Utilising this app has been very helpful for many of our clients.

Once we have a client’s information on file we can take the headache and hassle away by completing and filing all the other forms necessary, for example:
