“Good grief!” A common expression, but a challenge in reality. Losing someone, whether to dementia, divorce or death is devastating. As family lawyers we specialise in helping clients deal with heartbreak and change. Helping someone who is incapacitated and processing Probates requires similar skills. We aim to provide peace of mind to our clients at the most challenging times of their lives.
Keeping track of your own admin is hard but taking over someone else’s is harder. It is like trying to complete a jigsaw puzzle when you don’t have the full picture. Most people should have a Will and a Lasting Power of Attorney but they delay making them which makes it harder for loved ones to piece things together.
Jersey residents often have more complex puzzles than they realise. Jersey’s unique laws, moving around, having assets elsewhere, domicile issues…It is essential to obtain legal advice to piece all these together. Simon Lofthouse, Head of Private Client at Corbett Le Quesne, is excellent at ensuring any potential issues are dealt with.
If you or a loved one has any concerns about the process and wants someone to take extra special care of them, let us know. We offer fixed price services so you don’t need to worry about additional costs in a sensitive situation. Our support team were finalists in the Family Law Awards last year due to their dedication to caring for their clients. Sarah Allchin, Anna Styles and Louise Eden work closely with Simon to provide clients with a friendly and supportive service.
Corbett Le Quesne assist people with their relationships from proposals to probate. If you need help, we offer free 30 minute, no obligation information sessions with a lawyer. Call 733030 or e-mail enquiries@corbettlequesne.com and ensure you get the best advice.
