- 'All individuals I have worked with are forensically capable and highly user-friendly. They set and stick to deadlines and are available, as much as possible, on reasonable demand.
Legal 500 stated:
"Corbett Le Quesne takes instructions from international clients looking to bequeath Jersey-based property in their wills, in addition to handling trust matters where questions over the testator’s capacity have arisen. The team is led by Simon Lofthouse, who specialises in assisting clients organise their estate and tax affairs. Lofthouse is supported in this role by family law experts Barbara Corbett and Nicholas Le Quesne, both of whom have extensive experience acting for HNW clients in divorce and child law proceedings."
Founding Partner, Advocate Barbara Corbett commented “The majority of the Jersey firms listed in the Legal 500 are far larger, with significantly greater resources. We are a leading family law firm in Jersey and we are passionate about what we do. We are delighted with our rankings this year, especially knowing how rigorous the assessment process is.”
Advocate Nick Le Quesne said “Simon advises banks and ultra-high net worth clients around the world as well as supporting and advising locals regarding Wills and LPAs. It has been a valuable addition to our family law office as many clients require advice on their estate planning and also should make a new will before a wedding or if a marriage has ended.”
Simon Lofthouse added “When we were advised by a Legal 500 representative that we had achieved a five out of five client satisfaction rating I was so proud of the team. Now to be listed on the Legal 500 after only establishing a Private Client Department in 2021 is a real honour.”
Corbett Le Quesne is having a busy Autumn. In addition to this, Simon was a panellist for the annual STEP conference on the 2nd of October and CLQ’s second International Conference of the year was on the 4th of October. They are also finalists in the Family Law Awards, Family Law Firm of the Year - South, with the awards ceremony taking place in November.
