Office Manager shortlisted for prestigious UK Family Law Award
The 2024 Family Law Awards finalists have been announced and Corbett Le Quesne’s office manager Lizzie Keogh has been shortlisted for the Family Law Champion Award.
This is a very special nomination as it recognises “an individual’s outstanding contribution in the family law sphere”. The Family Law Awards are the top awards for family lawyers and this is the second time that Lizzie has been put forward for this honour.
Lizzie Keogh commented “I feel so honoured to be a finalist for a Family Law Award two years running. We are only a small law firm in Jersey and my fellow finalists have done some really amazing things, I feel so privileged to be considered among them. I love arranging our annual conferences which is how I ‘champion’ family law. They bring so many lovely, caring, brilliant people together. Every year the events grow and we organise for people to take part in local activities like RIB trips to see dolphins. In fact we book out the whole fleet of RIBs now and there is usually a waiting list. We take people to local restaurants, fill the beds at the L’Horizon and surrounding hotels and ensure everyone makes the most of their precious time in the island. Sharing knowledge and making connections with people is so important in a small island and working in international family law and I am very proud to be a part of it.”

She almost single-handedly arranges two of the largest annual conferences in the family law calendar. Our conferences attract KCs and top partners from the UK and Guernsey and further afield. It is fantastic to see this hard work being recognised in this way.”
The Award Ceremony will be held in London on 20th November at Park Plaza, Westminster.
Corbett Le Quesne are also finalists in the top category for the region, Law Firm of the Year - South. They are the only law firm in the Channel Islands to receive this honour and they have won it previously as well as being nominated for it several times. This news follows a Legal 500 Award for Leading Firm for Client Satisfaction, an accolade only given to the top 10% firms.
