Corbett Le Quesne is holding a charity lunch for Brighter Futures at the Academy Restaurant on the 18th of May 2022. Highlands’ students provide an exceptionally high quality three course meal within the charming surroundings of the old Highlands building. Anyone is able to buy a ticket with all proceeds going to Brighter Futures but there is limited availability.
Advocate Nicholas Le Quesne commented "When I went to the Academy Restaurant for a Women’s Refuge event sponsored by Corbett Le Quesne I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the presentation and standard of the food. I have wanted to host an event there ever since. We chose Brighter Futures as our charity for 2022 and this lunch will raise awareness of the important work Brighter Futures does as well as some much needed funds."
Lunch includes a welcome drink on arrival, a three course meal and drinks. Sharon Betts, Community Engagement Officer at Brighter Futures will be welcoming everyone and providing information about Brighter Futures. Corbett Le Quesne will be holding a raffle at the lunch and prizes include an overnight stay at the L’Horizon Hotel, a voucher for Le Quesne’s Garden Centre and a free will from Simon Lofthouse, Head of Private Client at Corbett Le Quesne.
Brighter Futures has helped more than 11,000 families in Jersey since it was established in 2008. They work with up to 170 families at any one time. Each family costs in the region of £4,400 per year. More than 90% of their funding is raised on Island, from corporate and personal donations, events-led fundraising and trust and grant applications. Their mission is to support families and for every family to have a brighter future. The charity has run many very successful Event Experiences, including White Collar Darts, A Night at the Races and the very popular Serendipity Suppers. They have just launched the ‘Bikes and Bubbles’ a champagne and cycling event taking place in September 2022.
