Anna, an experienced family lawyer, joined Corbett Le Quesne in September 2019. Anna advises on all areas of family law, and has a broad range of experience.
Advocate Nicholas Le Quesne said “I have known Anna for a long time and she is a great fit for Corbett Le Quesne. Anna has a collaborative, practical and client centred approach which we appreciate so I am very happy to welcome her to the growing team.”
Anna went to school at Jersey College for Girls and obtained her LLB (Hons) at the University of Manchester. Anna went on to take her Barrister’s exams at BPP in London in 2005. In 2009 Anna did the QLTT to qualify as an English Solicitor. Anna specialised in family law for 5 years before taking a career break to gain more varied experience which helps inform her work now.
Anna travelled for a year and on her return to Jersey worked in interior design and trust and obtained levels 2 and 3 CPCAB Counselling Award and became an Advanced EFT Practitioner. She recently self-published a book for children designed to help them accept themselves. She said "Children can experience a wide range of complicated and conflicting emotions when their parents separate and I approach family law with the view that a lawyer’s role is to help facilitate the best outcome for the client while minimising any distress and upset for any children involved. I am also very lucky to have found a family friendly firm that was willing and able to employ me part time, term time only. My little boy is at nursery 4 mornings a week and I wanted to work around him for as long as possible.”
Advocate Barbara Corbett commented “We are delighted to welcome Anna to Corbett Le Quesne, she has a passion for helping people and has a range of experience with private clients and legal aid work. Her outside interests complement the work we do and she is a valuable addition to the team.”
