Well done and thank you to Simon Lofthouse and Rotary Jersey for staging such a flipping fun event today. The Royal Square was filled with teams competing for a huge trophy and raising money for a charity called Mary's Meals who feed school children in some of the poorest areas around the world.

There were four competitors in each team. Each had to run from one side of the Royal Square to the other stopping to flip their pancake at each cone before passing their pan and pancake to their teammate who had to run back. There was a 5 second penalty added if you dropped your pancake!
Sponsored by the Channel Island Co-Op there was tea, coffee and biscuits being served and keeping us warm on a beautifully sunny but chilly day.
Thanks to prisoners at La Moye Prison for making 50 pancakes for the event. They looked delicious, the ones that didn't end up on the floor anyway!
This is Barbara racing to the finish line in the second heat.
Juliette, Jess and Lizzie all did a grand job!
We hope this will become an annual event and we hope to see you there next year! Well done Simon!
