Advocate Nicholas Le Quesne, partner of specialist family law firm, Corbett Le Quesne, has been listed in the inaugural 2018 eprivateclient Channel Islands Top 35 Under 35, a new annual list of top young private client practitioners in Jersey and Guernsey.
The Channel Islands initiative runs alongside the established UK and UK Crown Dependencies' Top 35 Under 35. The local nominees will also be considered for the UK and Crown Dependencies version, which launches later this month.
The selection process began with an open call for nominations from across the private wealth sector for young and upcoming stars within the private client advisory professions, be they lawyers, accountants, trustees or any other professional intermediary, in Jersey and Guernsey.
Once the nomination period had closed in mid-May, the nominations were collated and a rigorous judging process took place during which each nominee was judged on the strength of their nomination(s).
Other factors considered during the judging process, include who made the nomination, an individual’s achievements over the past 12 months and the number of nominations they received.
Career progression, the quality and extensiveness of nominations and the seniority of who made the nomination and what that person said were crucial elements in determining who made the list
Nicholas Le Quesne set up specialist family law firm Corbett Le Quesne with Advocate Barbara Corbett in November 2017 at the age of 34. Nicholas is an experienced English solicitor, Jersey Advocate and qualified collaborative lawyer. Nicholas advises on all areas of family law and specialises in complex matrimonial finance work.
Advocate Barbara Corbett commented: “We are very pleased that Nick’s achievements have been recognised by eprivateclient. As a specialist family lawyer Nick has shown through the quality of his work and service to his clients that this recognition is well deserved. In addition, becoming a named partner of a new and thriving firm shows his business acumen and ability to create something special while still young.”
